Jakin at a glance

JAKIN
is registered as JAKINMINIS
INTERNATIONAL COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE
i.e. an NGO allowed to trade. The name “JAKIN” is a Hebrew word for
“HE ESTABLISHES”.
It is a faith – based Non – Governmental Organization that seeks to
improve our society by creating a neutral and conducive atmosphere
for resources to be generated for charity while they are
simultaneously channeled to the less privileged.
Our savior Jesus Christ had a help ministry. He operated it while on
earth and still operates it after he ascended into heaven. Every one
is expected to be an arm of this ministry. He not only encouraged us
to help but he mandated us to live a daily life of helping. He never
discriminated neither was he biased in his work. He emphasized this
call in Mathew 25 v 31-46 where he also stated the consequences of
disobedience to it. We strongly believe that alone you can’t change
your world but together we can make a positive difference.
JAKIN operates a friendly, unbiased and flexible structure that
grants the less privileged access to freely discuss their
issues and also receive various forms of supports that tackle their
situation from its root cause.
JAKIN which has its head office in Lagos State and a branch in
Zamfara State was conceived on October 12th 2003 by MRS ADEBIYI
OLUBUKOLA “nee” before Akinlosotu and commenced
operations on November 30th 2003.
The Head Office presently has a staff strength of 14 apart from
volunteers, and since it’s inception; this dynamic organization has
successfully assisted the Nigerian Government in meeting the
MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS.
Jakin has gone through a lot of restructuring in recent times and
this has brought about a lot of reorganization in its structure
which includes elimination and introduction of some project names.
The whole essence of this is to re-brand and re- package the
organization and finally represent a more focused coordinated
organization show casing a mind blowing track record in humanitarian
service delivery. |
